This is a private forum hosted on Mighty Networks for Betonica students and staff to ask questions, share interesting things, tell herbal stories, or help other students. 

We encourage everyone to actively participate in the forum, ask questions, share your experiences, and contribute your insights. The collective wisdom and diverse perspectives within this community will undoubtedly contribute to a rich learning experience for all.

PLEASE NOTE

The Herbal Forum is monitored by Betonica's management team and staff during the following hours:

  • 9am - 5pm (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday)

HOW TO GET STARTED

    • PLEASE DO NOT JOIN THE FORUM VIA THE REQUEST TO JOIN BUTTON.

    • Please make sure to sign up using the specific link that was emailed to you and your cohort. It is important to use the specific link for your relevant year in order to access the spaces that are most relevant to you. This will ensure that you have access to discussions and resources tailored to your specific year.

    • Once you have successfully signed up via the corresponding link for your year, you can then proceed to use the link that we will provide on the learning platform to access your Mighty Networks account. From there, you will be able to explore the Herbal Forum and engage in conversations with fellow students.

    • Please read the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policies which can be found in the START HERE spaces on the forum.

    • Choose a username that reflects your real name.

    • Choose a thumbnail picture of you for your profile.

    • Download the app if you wish.

    • Please have an explore and familiarise yourself with the policy, spaces and how the forum works.

    • Click on notifications on the top right corner (this is a small bell symbol) settings and turn on/off the options you need, but please switch on ‘Updates From Your Hosts’ and notifications for your relevant course spaces so you can be alerted new course items/updates/instructions are posted.

  • It is important that, as you begin your career in herbal medicine, you bear the following guidelines in mind. A successful career as a herbalist depends upon your maintaining a reputation for professionalism, discretion, respect and kindness for others. This applies to you as an individual, and to the reputation of the profession as a whole. 

    Please be sure at all times to conduct yourself in accordance with the values of the programme and of the wider profession, online as well as in-person. Communications should maintain a professional tone of voice.

    Remember that your digital footprint is almost impossible to erase and a social media post made in moments can have long-lasting repercussions. Serious or repeated breaches of these values may lead to suspension or expulsion from the programme, and have implications for your fitness to practise as a medical herbalist.
