MITIGATION GUIDANCE

Please read the Mitigation Guidance below before completing the form

Attendance at all seminars is mandatory. You must attend a minimum of 80% of all seminars in order to pass the year. Mitigation makes allowance for the occasional absence, provided that your reason meets the criteria below.

The application for mitigation of seminar absence is to support those who experience unforeseen and unexpected circumstances that prevent the attendance of seminars. Examples include:

  • bereavement

  • serious, acute or chronic illness

  • serious illness of a close family member or partner

  • significant unexpected caring responsibilities

  • other significant adverse personal circumstances

Example reasons that will not be accepted include:

  • forgetting a seminar date

  • going on holiday/social commitments

PLEASE NOTE

Applications must normally be submitted within one week of the seminar, in order for due time to be allowed for the consideration of your request. In cases where this is not possible (e.g. sickness), allowances may be made at the discretion of the Betonica Directors.

Submission of a mitigation claim does not guarantee acceptance of the claim. Please be aware that all cases must be resolved prior to the meeting of the exam board in July.
