SEMINAR
INFORMATION
-
All seminars have compulsory attendance. For the unexpected absences, a mitigation process is available.
Locations
Seminars and the training clinic are held at Blackdown Healthy Living Centre and The Garages - the long black wooden building located opposite the centre. The postcode is: EX15 3SH.
We also hold seminars at the Elder Farm Chapel in Uffculme and on occasion, when all four years need to attend a seminar weekend (i.e. the first seminar weekend), some seminars will be held at other venues in Hemyock and Wellington.
-
The seminar days will run from 9.30 am until 5.30pm with a 1 hour lunch break and two tea breaks. Classes start promptly at 9.30 so please be seated by that time.
-
Please be conscious of parking at seminar locations and respect our communityโs property by parking in proper parking allocations. Please do not block driveways or streets or park on pavements or grass areas. Please do not block building fire escapes.
Disabled parking for students with blue badge only.
To help neighborhood congestion, we book either The Village Hall or Hemyock Primary School (both a 10 min walk away) for student parking. We will email you prior to the seminar to state where to park.
How to open Hemyock primary school gates: The school asks us to keep the gates shut. To park please walk through the side gate, hit the big green button, and this will release the car gates. you can then simply push them open.
Elder Farm/Chapel parking is limited and is on a first-come first served basis, and reserved for those with access issues (email if you require blue-badge parking). It is recommended that students park in the village of Culmstock and walk across the fields (10 min walk). The Number 20 Bus also passes nearby.
