MISSED SUBMISSION DATES
Students can apply for up to:
a 3 day extension with detailed explanation, this is most suitable for short-term unforeseen events such as sickness etc.
a 7 day extension with evidence
a 14-30 day deferral (supported by your PAT and head of year granted in rare circumstances with significant evidence).
The application for mitigation of work due is to support those who experience unforeseen and unexpected circumstances that prevent the fair completion of work. Examples include:
short-term illness such as cold and flu
serious, acute or chronic illness
bereavement
serious illness of a close family member or partner
significant unexpected caring responsibilities
other significant adverse personal circumstances
Please communicate with your PAT and head of year in any of these circumstances.
Once they have completed the assignment by the new agreed deadline, they will be able to submit it to Turnitin. Please note, they can only submit once after the original deadline has passed, even with mitigation. They must email your Head of Year and Admin to inform them that they have submitted their work and it is ready to be marked.
For quizzes, you will have to email admin@betonica.co.uk for access.
